Skydance Paramount Set to Remove Approximately 2,000 US Jobs – News
Paramount Skydance is scheduled to initiate significant workforce reductions during the week starting 27 October, cutting nearly 2,000 US jobs as part of a budget-saving initiative totaling $2bn under CEO David Ellison.
The workforce reduction follow the combination between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized during August with a value of $8.4bn.
Additional global layoffs are likely, with Paramount Skydance planning to reveal complete information during its third-quarter financial update on 10 November.
Prior news had indicated the company planned to reduce from 2,000 to 3,000 positions by the beginning of next month.
As of December 2024, the company employed about 18,600 full- and part-time employees and 3,500 contract workers.
Paramount Skydance has not provided a response regarding the report.
